Mid

Century Modern Homes.  My wife and kids and I lived in a mid century modern home for two years. We had moved to Riverside to start up a music lessons studio, and needed a place close by to retreat to after long hours.  We also wanted a tranquil place.  A mid century with a view of the city filled our needs.  The floor plan was a very simple and easy to move around in.  Had the kitchen been larger than the 5 feet by 8 feet that it was we probably would have stayed.  It was a mid century purist’s  dream, as long as that mid century purist went out to eat 7 times a week.  Living in that house wet my appetite for finding another one, and one day either buying one or building my own interpretation.   What I really want, though, is to share my experience with others.  I want everyone to live in one of those peaceful homes with all the glass and space and minimal, low strung furniture.  Can anyone say “catalogue prefab do-it-yourself mid century mods?”
